Power Rankings - Mid Season 5/25

1.Dallas Cowboys(UP from #2)- So far have started the season with a 3-0 start! They are the only undefeated team that has played more than 1 game! Their defense has played well and their offense looks strong.

2.New York Giants(UP from #10)- They have come on strong the last few games. They upset the Pats a few weeks ago. Plaxico Burress is putting up outstanding numbers. The whole offense has played really strong. They've averaged over 30pts a game! I'm goin out on a limb on this one but I see the Giants as a sleeper team this year.

3.San Francisco 49ers(UP from #11)- They started off strong but lost two close games. They are currently 2nd in the AFC West, but they are in good position to win a wild card spot. They've got a strong team. Alex Smith and Frank Gore have been playing really well.

4.Carolina Panthers(DOWN from #3)- Their offense is playing average, their defense is average but they keep finding ways to win. They've got a good team and they are consistent.

5.New England Patriots(DOWN from #1)- They got off to a fast undefeated start out scoring their opponents 89-14 in their first 2 games! But since then they've been inconsistent, and making mistakes that have cost them. They are looking to get back on track. They are barely holding on to division lead.

6.Jacksonville Jaguars(STAYED at 6)- They have potential to be great but can quite get consistent. Their offense has struggled at times but they have stayed 2nd in the division.

7.Washington Redskins(DOWN from #4)- Have played some close games, but have made several mistakes that have cost them victory. Look for the Skins to make a run at the playoffs though.

8.Denver Broncos(UP from #12)- They've only played 1 game but it was a victory. But they only were able to squeeze out 10 points from the struggling Packers Defense. The Bronco defense has played really well though, yet to give up a touchdown. Broncos have a chance to be a sleeper team if they can find their offense.

9.San Diego Chargers(STAYED at #9)- have won 1/3 of their games. 2 of their losses came from the East leading Pats, both were blowouts as New England out scored them 90-21 in two games. Chargers need to be consistant. They've beaten 2 really good teams but have struggled at times.

10.Oakland Raiders(DOWN from #7)- Raiders (previously Philly) got a new owner as he inherits an 0-1 team. But the Raiders have potential as they have great football knowledge and know how to win games. They've just got to execute to the best of their ability now.

11.Green Bay Packers(DOWN from #5)- They've struggled at times but shown potential. They need to get their defense to stiffen and put some points on the board with their offense. Brett Favre needs to limit his mistakes or hes gonna be asked to retire.

12.Pittsburgh Steelers(DOWN from #8)- The Steelers trail in the AFC East. They've been outscored 71-10 in their two games. Their defense needs to slow opposing offenses down and their offense needs to find the end zone or this season could turn into a disaster.
